breast lift patientThe idea of having years of breast sagging and volume loss magically lifted in a single procedure sounds like a dream come true for many people. But there are a lot of details to consider when deciding if a breast lift is a good choice for you. In order to help you figure that out, we have answered the most common questions and points of confusion surrounding this popular cosmetic surgery.

What Is a Breast Lift?

Starting with the basics is important. A breast lift is a cosmetic surgery that aims to create perkier and more attractive breasts in a patient by removing excess skin and tissue in the area. It is generally performed under anesthesia as an outpatient procedure, which means you will need to be willing to commit to a full surgery in exchange for dramatic improvement in your breast contours.

What Is a Breast Lift Called?

Most surgeries have multiple names that people use. A breast lift is also referred to as a mastopexy, primarily by surgeons and other medical professionals. You should remember that terms like “boob jobs” refer to breast augmentation, which is technically a different procedure than a breast lift.

How Common are Breast Lifts?

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons report, more than 87,000 breast lifts were performed throughout 2020. The year prior, more than 110,000 were performed. Like most aesthetic procedures, COVID-19 impacts the total number of procedures performed, but the high volume that was retained despite restrictions shows how much people value the results that a breast lift can provide.

Do I Need a Breast Lift?

This question is mostly a personal one. If you are experiencing breast sagging after pregnancy, nursing, weight fluctuation or the natural aging process, then you are likely someone who could benefit from a breast lift. But you should be sure that you have the procedure performed for your own reasons — not to meet someone else’s expectations. If you want to look better in swimwear or generally want to improve your appearance for your own confidence, then you should consider a breast lift.

How Much Is a Breast Lift?

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons found that the average cost of a breast lift in 2020 was $5,012. While this is a great place to start, you should keep in mind that your own price may differ depending on a few factors like the amount of correction being performed, any combination procedures, your unique geographic location and your own aesthetic goals. Facility fees and anesthesia costs can change depending on a variety of factors as well.

When Can I lift My Arms After Breast Lift or Reduction?

Immediately after your surgery, it is likely that your range of motion will be limited. You should avoid overexerting or overextending yourself during your recovery since you could accidentally reopen your wounds and damage the long-term appearance of your scars. You will have regular follow-up appointments with our expert staff, who will let you know when certain milestones are safe to cross. Typically, after a couple of weeks, you can safely and comfortably lift your arms without risking damage to your wounds.

Do Your Breasts Get a Lift During a Breast Reduction?

A breast reduction is a different procedure than a breast lift. Breast reductions aim to decrease the size and volume of a woman’s breasts. However, when that is achieved, the woman is often left with an unnecessary excess of skin and tissue that would cause the breasts to droop. For this reason, most surgeons will perform a breast lift or “mini” breast lift to ensure a perky and appealing shape. This issue becomes less of a concern in patients with strong skin elasticity.

How Is a Breast Lift Performed?

A breast lift is performed in four steps: anesthesia, incisions, tissue removal and closure. The entire process can take a couple of hours, depending on your specific surgery. Your surgeon should go through the whole process with you before the day of the surgery, so there should be no surprises or questions left for you on the day of the procedure.

What Are the Breast Lift Incision Options?

There are three primary incision patterns that are used: circular, lollipop and anchor. The circular incision makes a cut around the nipple-areolar complex. It provides the most negligible noticeable scarring and the least amount of access to your surgeon. This is generally reserved for patients with mild breast sagging. The lollipop incision includes the same cut as the previous method but consists of a vertical incision spanning from the nipple-areolar complex to the bottom of the breast fold. This provides more access at the cost of more scarring and is a good option for anyone with moderate skin ptosis. The anchor technique uses both the circular and lollipop incisions but goes further by cutting across the bottom of the inframammary fold beneath the breast. This provides the greatest amount of access and the highest amount of incisions for patients with severe levels of breast ptosis.

What Age Can I Get a Breast Lift?

Generally, the only rule of thumb is to make sure your breasts have finished developing before having any surgeries. If you were to have a breast lift too early, there is no telling how future growth will impact the aesthetic of your breasts. This also goes for anyone who is looking to become pregnant, nurse or lose a significant amount of weight. Having a breast lift performed and then fluctuating your breast size can compromise your results and put you back to square one.

How Safe Is a Breast Lift?

Breast lift surgery is considered very safe, but you should always know that certain risks are always present when undergoing anesthesia and surgery. You will have a complete medical team with you on the day of your surgery to monitor your health. As long as you have disclosed all medical conditions, it is improbable that a serious complication will develop.

Can I Get a Limited Incision Breast Lift?

Patients with mild to moderate amount of needed correction may be eligible for a limited incision breast lift, which reduces the total amount of scarring on your body. The approach to your particular procedure will be unique to you, so it is best to speak to one of our medical professionals about this option. We perform this on a great number of women who are often ecstatic with the results.

Does Medicare Cover Breast Lifts?

Medicare does not cover anything that is considered cosmetic or optional. In some cases, a breast reduction and lift combination may be covered if the condition is causing other medical concerns, but a breast lift in itself typically yields no medical benefits.

Does Insurance Cover Breast Lifts?

Similar to Medicare, private insurance policies rarely cover elective cosmetic procedures like breast lifts if there is no medical benefit to the patient. You should always check with your insurance provider to see if there are any benefits available to you.

Is There a Nonsurgical Breast Lift?

While a nonsurgical breast lift sounds like a fantastic concept, there is, unfortunately, no nonsurgical option available on the market that will allow you to experience the same results as a breast lift. Some minimally invasive or noninvasive claim to provide some results, but these are often just used as bandaid solutions until a patient is ready to commit to a complete breast lift surgery.

Does a Breast Lift Leave Scars?

Yes, part of having a breast lift performed is the eventual development of scar tissue. Luckily, most of the incisions that are made for this surgery are hidden within natural folds and borders on the body, making them much harder to notice in most cases. As time goes by, the scars will naturally begin to fade — many patients eventually find their scars virtually invisible.

Can I Get a Breast Lift Without Scars?

Unlike a breast augmentation, which can go through different parts of the body, a breast lift requires that tissue is directly removed from the body — meaning that scarring is inevitable. There is currently no technique that can remove this tissue and excess skin without developing scars. But there is something called a Limited Incision Breast Lift that was designed to minimize the amount of scarring.

Do I Need Implants with a Breast Lift?

No, you do not have to have implants placed during your breast lift. You can, however, choose to do so if that is your aesthetic preference. In some cases, increased size can mean fewer incisions since some volume loss is being addressed by filling in the excess tissue. You should consult with a member of our expert team to figure out exactly which method would best achieve your aesthetic goals.

Is a Breast Lift Painful?

A breast lift is a surgical procedure, so you should be prepared for some level of pain or discomfort. While most patients can get through this pain with over-the-counter medications, prescriptions are available for those who need them. The first two weeks of recovery will be the most difficult since this is when you will experience the most pain, discomfort, swelling, redness and soreness. By the end of those two weeks, the worst of most of these symptoms are behind you.

Is Breast Lift Surgery Dangerous?

In the hands of a highly trained and experienced professional like those at Newport Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Associates, breast lift surgery is not considered particularly dangerous. Aside from the typical anesthesia risks, a breast lift is relatively low stakes.

Can You Breastfeed After a Breast Lift?

A breast lift has no impact on a woman’s ability to breastfeed. Everything necessary to produce and supply milk to an infant is still there. If you are considering having children, though, you may want to consider having your breast lift performed after your childbearing and nursing process since these life steps can reverse the results from your breast lift.

How Long Does a Breast Lift Take to Heal?

Usually, a full recovery can be made within eight weeks, depending on your body’s ability to heal and the extent of the correction that was performed. You will have plenty of follow-up appointments with your surgeon to ensure healing is going smoothly.  It is also common for a resorbable mesh to be used to provide more breast support throughout this process.

Can I Go Without a Bra After a Breast Lift?

Immediately after a breast lift and during your recovery, you will more than likely need to wear a supportive bra round the clock. You may even be provided with what is known as a compression garment — a tight piece of clothing that is used on the targeted area to prevent excess swelling. Once your recovery is over, many patients find themselves fully capable of skipping the bra thanks to their new perky breast appearance.

How Long After a Breast Lift Can I Swim?

You will need to progress fully through the healing process in order to go swimming. Wait until you are officially cleared by your surgeon, otherwise, you risk infection or the opening of your wound. Both of these options can drastically damage your results and safety, so you should always wait until you are cleared by your surgeon to move forward with strenuous activities like this one.

How Long Does a Breast Lift Last?

The longevity of your breast lift is based entirely on your genetics, lifestyle and environment. Some people find that they can go more than 15 years without needing a follow-up treatment, while some people need to repeat the process every 10 years or so to keep up with the development of new tissue sagging.

Is a Breast Lift Worth It?

Many of our patients are happy to find out that their new breast appearance was well worth their financial and time investment. They reclaim their confidence and live fuller lives because they are no longer self-conscious. Whether you consider a breast lift to be worth it or not depends on how much you value things like self-confidence.

breast implants patientBreast augmentation with breast implants has held the rank as the most popular cosmetic surgical procedure in the U.S. since 2006. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), over 313,000 women opted to enhance the symmetry, size and shape of their breasts with breast augmentation in 2018 — a four percent increase from the year before. As more women continue to become interested in breast augmentation surgery, more questions continue to come up about the different types of breast implant, their safety and how long they are designed to last. Breast implant devices, as we know them today, have been around since the 1960s, but today’s implants are the result of decades of research and clinical studies that have made them safer and more durable than ever before. The recent generations of breast implant models have provided women with stronger implant shells and more stable implant fillings that are designed to be incredibly long-lasting. However, if you are considering breast augmentation surgery or already have implants, you must understand breast implants are not considered lifetime devices, and there are many reasons why you may need to have them removed.

Why Would I Need to Have My Breast Implants Removed?

Technically speaking, breast implants never expire, but they can wear down over time. Saline implants, which contain a sterile saltwater solution, and silicone implants, which contain a cohesive gel-filling, are both composed of a thick silicone outer shell. While both types of breast implants can maintain their integrity for a decade or more in a woman’s body, the incidence of leaks or rupture increases over time. It is estimated that for both saline and silicone implants, the chance of rupture increases by one percent each year they are in the body. Though that may sound significant, it also means that after 10 years, there is still a 90 percent chance that the implants you have will still be intact. Manufacturers of breast implants estimate that the devices should last an average of 10 years. Still, with normal wear-and-tear from daily activities, the friction between the implant and the interior structures of your breast can wear away at the silicone shell even if you’re careful. This wear-down can eventually cause the implant to leak or rupture. While the deflation of a saline implant will be apparent almost immediately, silicone ruptures are often called “silent ruptures” as they produce no noticeable symptoms and are commonly only detected by MRI imaging. Whether you have saline or silicone implants, a leak or rupture in your implant will need to be addressed by having the implants removed or replaced in a breast revision procedure.

Breast Implant Illness and Complications

In addition to complications with the implant devices themselves, women may also wish to have their implants removed due to health-related concerns or breast implant illness. Breast implant illness is an all-encompassing term that refers to several symptoms or diseases thought to be caused by their breast implants. These symptoms can range from chronic fatigue and breast pain to capsular contracture — a complication where the scar tissue surrounding the breast implant hardens and tightens. As recently July 2019, specific models of Allergan textured breast implants have been recalled from the market worldwide due to studies linking them to a rare cancer known as breast implant-associated anaplastic large lymphoma (BIA-ALCL). Breast implant shells can be textured or smooth, with smooth implants having a flat surface and textured implants having a dimpled-surface that adheres to surrounding breast tissue. Textured implants have been associated with a higher risk of BIA-ALCL; however, if you have textured implants with no adverse symptoms, there is no need for concern. Though, if you are experiencing any uncomfortable symptoms, it is recommended that you follow up with a board-certified plastic surgeon such as Dr. Seify as soon as possible to ensure your implants are not the source of your pain. Regardless of your reasons for breast revision surgery, for most breast revision procedures Dr. Seify will perform an en bloc capsulectomy whenever possible. The en bloc technique involves the removal of scar tissue within the breast, or the capsule, along with the implants at the same time. This is essential especially for implants that are filled with silicone, have ruptured or are very old to ensure no silicone, bacteria or chemicals leak into the body during surgery for your safety.

When is it Time to Schedule a Breast Revision Consultation?

While breast implants are designed to safe and long-lasting, it is more than likely that they will require additional surgery down the road. If you have concerns regarding the integrity of your current implants or are suffering from adverse breast implant illness symptoms, it may be time to schedule a breast revision consultation with Dr. Hisham Seify. Dr. Seify can carefully assess the current condition of your implants, check for leaks or rupture and expertly recommend the best course of action for you and your unique case. microdermabrasion patientMicrodermabrasion

When it comes to skin rejuvenation, board-certified Dr. Hisham Seify and his team at Newport Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Associates offer a multitude of treatment options each designed to create smoother, softer and more radiant skin. Years of sun damage, aging, acne and exposure to free radicals in the environment can leave your skin looking dull, uneven and less than it’s best. If your skin has lost its luster and could use a quick pick-me-up, we offer fast and minimally-invasive microdermabrasion treatments— often referred to as the “lunchtime peel”— to help patients reveal a more healthy, glowing complexion.

How Does Microdermabrasion Work?

Microdermabrasion is a nonsurgical facial rejuvenation technique that works to carefully remove the surface layer of dull, damaged skin to reveal a radiant, healthy new layer of skin. Unlike other cosmetic treatments that leave the skin feeling raw and marred, microdermabrasion opts for a gentler approach that produces minimal side effects. During treatment, fine sand-like particles are sprayed onto the skin to exfoliate and remove surface debris and dead skin cells. The procedure is virtually painless and creates only a mild scratching sensation that a majority of patients find to be very tolerable. Microdermabrasion treatments can target a variety of skin-related concerns, including:
  • Sun damage
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Age spots
  • Acne scars
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Enlarged pores
  • Uneven skin tone & texture
  • Some types of active acne

Ideal Candidates for Microdermabrasion

Suitable patients for microdermabrasion are patients with mild to moderate signs of aging or other skin-related concerns. Microdermabrasion is safe for all skin types, including darker skin tones. Adult patients of all ages can enjoy and benefit from the gentle exfoliation and rejuvenation of microdermabrasion treatments due to their minimal side effects, immediate results and lack of downtime. Microdermabrasion does have some contraindications, and patients who scar easily or have severe acne may be better suited for other cosmetic treatments. Dr. Seify can help you to determine if microdermabrasion is right for you during your in-person consultation.

What to Expect From Your Microdermabrasion Treatment

Microdermabrasion is a comfortable and painless procedure, so no anesthesia or topical numbing cream is required. During treatment, Dr. Seify will pass a handheld device over the skin’s surface that sprays fine particles at high speed, buffing away any dead or old skin cells. An attached vacuum device will work to suction the removed skin debris simultaneously and crystal particles, leaving fresh, renewed skin behind. Each procedure takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to perform for a full facial treatment.

What to Expect From Your Microdermabrasion Recovery

Compared with other skin resurfacing options, microdermabrasion uses a safe and gentle approach that produces little to no noticeable side effects. Immediately following your appointment, your treated skin may appear slightly red and swollen. These visible side effects typically fade within a matter of hours. The treated skin may also feel slightly tender for a few days, similar to the experience of suffering a mild sunburn. Microdermabrasion appointments require no downtime, meaning patients are free to return home or back to work and resume all normal activities immediately after their treatment. Patients should avoid sun exposure whenever possible and wear sun protection for the first few days after their microdermabrasion treatment; however, as the fresh layer of exposed skin will be more sensitive to sun damage. Otherwise, patients are able to go about their lives, usually with no disruption to their daily schedules.

What to Expect From Your Microdermabrasion Results

Following the completion of a microdermabrasion treatment, patients can expect a substantial improvement in the texture, tone and overall appearance of their skin. Your results will be immediately apparent and may even improve slightly with time due to increased collagen production. Fine lines and wrinkles will be softened, acne scars may be reduced and any other skin-related concerns should visibly improve. Dr. Seify will discuss exactly what sort of results you can expect from microdermabrasion and how it can address your unique skin concerns during your consultation. Results from a microdermabrasion treatment plan will last for several months, especially when aided by an advanced skin care regimen and sun protection. Many patients choose to schedule regular maintenance appointments on a set schedule to enjoy their results well into the future. Maintenance treatments are typically scheduled every four to six weeks. Dr. Seify can help you to create a personalized treatment plan that matches your needs during your consultation. Microdermabrasion is a safe and highly effective facial resurfacing treatment that can give you softer, smoother skin with little to no side effects. If you are interested in a quick and painless solution for dull and tired skin, book your consultation with Dr. Seify today at Newport Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Associates. dermal fillers patientTime can often feel unkind when it comes to the youthful quality of your skin. As collagen and elastin fibers gradually breakdown and facial volume deplete, it is inevitable that lines and wrinkles will slowly take the place of your smooth and supple complexion. Fortunately, cosmetic injectables are a quick, nonsurgical and minimally-invasive treatment that can turn back the clock on early signs of aging with beautifully natural results in as little as 15 minutes. Each injectable treatment is uniquely formulated to address a specific concern on your skin, from softening lines and wrinkles to restoring suppleness and moisture to sunken contours. At Newport Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, board-certified Dr. Seify prides himself on offering his patients the safest and most effective cosmetic injectables on the market today so that you may fight off early signs of aging without invasive procedures or lengthy periods of downtime.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally-occurring substance that works to add volume and hydration to the skin. HA fillers are a soft, gel-like substance that plump up weakened facial features and smooth lines from within with instantaneous results that last for 6 to 12 months before the body gradually absorbs the HA particles. At Newport Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, we offer the following HA fillers:

Juvederm

This HA-based filler is ideal for filling moderate to severe wrinkles and facial creases, particularly around the nose and mouth. The consistency and smooth texture of Juvederm also make it exceptional for plumping up thin or aging lips and restoring volume to soft facial tissues. The results of Juvederm will last up to 12 months before a repeat treatment is needed.

Juvederm Voluma

Voluma is our longest-lasting HA-based filler that is designed to address age-related volume loss to sunken areas of the cheeks—sometimes referred to as the “midface descent.” Voluma will give gaunt or sunken facial contours a much-needed boost in fullness and a subtle lift for up to two years.

Restylane

Restylane is another HA-based filler we offer that can smooth and soften moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles by adding volume and fullness to the skin. Like Juvederm, it may also be used to enhance lip shape and fullness for patients. Restylane can last between 6 and 18 months depending on the rate in which your body metabolizes the filler.

Botox

Unlike HA injectables, Botox does not work by “filling in” lines and soft tissue. Botox is made with a purified protein known as botulinum toxin A —which works to relax facial muscles that contribute to dynamic wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles are wrinkles that are only visible when your face is in motion, such as when you are smiling, frowning or furrowing your brow. By rendering these muscles inactive, Botox can erase stubborn expression lines and prevent new ones from forming for 3 to 4 months before a repeat treatment is required. If signs of aging are showing up much sooner than you’d like, cosmetic injectables are the perfect way to refresh and restore your appearance without surgery or downtime. During your initial consultation, Dr. Seify will thoroughly listen to your aging concerns to help you determine which injectable will help you best achieve your goals. To learn more, contact Newport Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery today at 949-407-8265 and book your appointment.
Your face is an integral part of your identity and lends itself to how you are perceived not only by yourself in the mirror, but by those around you every day. That’s why it can be so devastating when those inevitable signs of aging begin to etch their way into your appearance—no one wants “old” to be associated with who they are as a person, especially when they feel anything but. For most of our patients considering facial rejuvenation procedures, it isn’t about obtaining perfection or being forever young; it’s about restoring a face that looks and feels like themselves. In the past, it used to be that if you wanted to reclaim the youthful vitality of your face, you were limited to a surgical facelift or just gracefully accepting your aging appearance. While there is nothing wrong with either of these options, there was no middle ground for individuals whose symptoms of aging did not yet warrant surgical intervention, who weren’t good candidates for surgery, or who simply did not want to undergo an invasive procedure and recovery. Fortunately, advances over the last several years in cosmetic procedures have not only made cosmetic surgery more effective, safer and less invasive than ever before but has also introduced a full suite of facial rejuvenation treatments that do not involve scalpels or downtime but still deliver incredible results. No matter where you fall in the aging process, if you have concerns about fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin or the loss of supple tissue volume, Newport Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Associates offers our patients a vast array of surgical and nonsurgical facial treatments that will drastically eliminate signs of aging to restore the face you recognize.

Surgical Facelift Options

When it comes to more severe signs of facial aging; such as loose skin you can easily pinch, deep-set wrinkles and sagging jowls, cosmetic surgery will offer the most comprehensive approach to restoring lasting youthfulness to your appearance. Facelifts have been performed for over a century, and for good reason. Today’s facelift procedures not only lift and tighten the skin but address underlying muscles and tissues that contribute to facial sagging for long-lasting, dramatic results that age with you over time. The options don’t stop there, either. The facial procedures available to our patients today can specifically target any region of your face that is susceptible to aging. At Newport Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Associates, we offer the following surgical facelift options:

Facelift and Neck Lift

Often performed in conjunction, facelift and neck lift procedures address loose skin present along the lower portion of the face, jawline and neck to restore facial contours and smooth out deep set lines and creases. While these procedures do require several weeks of downtime for recovery, they also provide the most dramatic and long-lasting results.

Facelift Revision

Facelift revision surgery is intended for patients who have already undergone facelift surgery and are either seeing signs of aging emerge faster than they’d like or were not satisfied with the results of their prior surgery.

Cheek Lift

Also known as the “mid-face lift,” a cheek lift is the perfect solution for addressing age-related volume loss and the prominence of lines around the mouth and hollow’s under the eyes.

Brow Lift

If you have a drooping, heavy brow and lines and creases that make you appear permanently angry or sad, a brow lift or forehead lift will smooth and tighten the appearance of the skin around the eyes.

Injectable Rejuvenation

For those who are not comfortable with the idea of surgery or are not yet ready for it, injectable treatments will also address common aging concerns, but with a less invasive approach. Injectable treatments can smooth lines, restore volume to your face and even stimulate collagen production in the skin for a subtle and natural-looking rejuvenation. With temporary results and the ability to mix-and-match treatments, injectables are perfect for those who may want to test-drive their results or delay cosmetic surgery for the time being. At Newport Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Associates, we offer the following injectable rejuvenation options:

Botox

As a neuromodulator, Botox targets underlying facial muscles and renders them inactive to smooth the appearance of expression lines and wrinkles that occur while your face is in motion and lasts for three to four months.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers or facial fillers are injected directly beneath the skin to fill lines and wrinkles and plump up the skin or lips with softness and moisture. They are often formulated with substances that occur naturally in the body and can last anywhere between 6 to 18 months, depending on the filler selected.

PRP with Fat Grafting

PRP, or platelet-rich plasma injections are a new rejuvenation procedure that isolates the growth factors found in your blood and injects them back into your skin to both boost collagen production and signal to aged skin to begin to heal itself. When paired with fat grafting, PRP helps the donor fat to be better absorbed into the areas of the face where it is injected for lasting volume restoration.

Needleless Treatments

For patients who have no interest in nonsurgical cosmetic procedures that involve needles near their face, Newport Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Associates offers many safe and effective energy-based treatments that will tighten and lift the skin while eliminating signs of aging and imperfections from the skin’s surface. These treatments gently heat facial tissues to trigger a healing reaction in the body and boost collagen production in the skin for long-lasting smoother and younger-looking skin.

Ultherapy

Ultherapy is a non-invasive ultrasound-energy treatment that helps to lift, tighten and rejuvenate the skin along the brow, chin and decolletage by heating the underlying layers of the skin to boost collagen production for immediate results that continue to improve over time with no downtime or discomfort.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Depending on the treatment selected, laser skin resurfacing can reduce the appearance of a wide range of blemishes and skin imperfections, from sagging skin to acne scars to wrinkles and discoloration. By heating deep layers of the skin with light-based energy to stimulate collagen growth, laser treatments will replace the damaged and aged surface layer of your skin with a flawless new layer of skin. Whether you are ready to take the plunge with cosmetic surgery or are merely looking for some subtle facial touch-ups, there are endless facial rejuvenation possibilities available today that can restore the appearance of your younger days. At Newport Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Associates, Dr. Seify will assess the quality and condition of your skin and facial anatomy to help determine which treatment or treatments will help you to achieve your desired results with downtime that fits with your lifestyle. Cheek Augmentation / Implants Before And After Pictures | NewportCheek augmentation cosmetic surgery can safely and effectively enhance cheek contours and add volume to cheeks to create a more appealing facial appearance. At the time of the pre-operative consultation, the plastic surgeon will provide the patient with detailed information on various facets of the procedure. Some surgeons also present patients with cheek augmentation before and after images during this consultation appointment. This could enable the patient to develop realistic expectations from the cheek enhancement surgery.  In addition, these images make the consultation process more transparent. The patient can make a better-informed decision upon understanding the possible outcomes from the cheek augmentation procedure. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Hisham Seify provides cheek implants to patients in Newport Beach, Orange County, CA, and surrounding locations.

Visual Evidence for Prospective Patients

The surgeon can help a new patient feel more confident and reassured about cheek augmentation cosmetic surgery and its potential results by showing them cheek implant before and after images. After the patient views before and after images of previous cheek augmentation patients, they can get an idea of the extent to which this procedure can improve their appearance. This enables new patients to make a well-considered decision. A majority of patients believe that if the cheek implant surgery has been successful in enhancing the appearance of previous patients, it can help them achieve similar results as well. Before and after pictures offer conclusive evidence that helps create an environment of transparency and trust between the patient and surgeon. This is why the consultation is vital so someone can see these pictures. These exact pictures are not on the website but many salient facelift pictures are on the website which is germane to cheek augmentation. There are many amazing before and after pictures on this stellar website so anyone can see the caliber of work that Dr. Seify has done.

A Picture is worth a Thousand Words

Before and after cheek augmentation pictures can portray the real story in a much more compelling way than words ever can. Regardless, the surgeon will explain every aspect of the procedure in detail to the patient to enable them to develop realistic expectations. But sometimes words can be confusing, open to interpretation, or simply unbelievable. On the other hand, before and after images produce a powerful and compelling visual impact. Photographs do not have the barriers of language and they tell the story realistically. But the surgeon should ensure that the pictures have not been modified or photo-shopped as such images can mislead the patient. In the case of cheek implant before and after pictures, the adage “A picture is worth more than a thousand words” certainly holds true.

Use of Social Media Platforms to Raise Awareness

Social media platforms enjoy near-universal use today, and plastic surgeons can harness the massive power of these social sites to showcase before and after cheek augmentation pictures. This will help increase awareness on cheek implant procedures. Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook are popular picture sharing sites. Sharing cheek augmentation images on these platforms can greatly enhance a plastic surgeon’s efforts to engage and inform their audience. Cheek augmentation ‘before and after’ images can play an influential role if they are used properly on social media platforms to connect with potential patients and any patient can perhaps see these types of pictures during the consultation. Experienced cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hisham Seify provides cheek implants to patients in Newport Beach, Orange County, CA, and nearby areas. Transparency is key here and Dr. Seify is a big believer in this aspect. This is why his website is so fulfilling and has benefitted so many people. The more informed a patient is the better it is for everyone involved. How Much does Cheek Augmentation or Cheek Implants Cost? | Newport BeachCheek augmentation cosmetic surgery can add fullness and definition to depleted cheeks or cheeks that are poorly defined. During the pre-op consultation, the surgeon will inform the patient on various facets of cheek implant surgery, including its estimated costs. If cheek implant surgery is undertaken along with another facial plastic surgery, the overall procedure may become more cost-effective than if it were performed as a stand-alone procedure. Patients can avail of various cosmetic surgery financing options that can make cheek implant a more affordable procedure for them. Kind board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Hisham Seify provides cheek implants to patients in Newport Beach, Orange County, CA, and surrounding locations across the horizon.

Extent of the Procedure

Cheek augmentation typically involves the placement of pre-made implants comprising either silicone or another synthetic substance. The surgeon may have to sculpt the implant to suit the patient’s facial structure. The surgeon typically undertakes this procedure under local anesthesia with intravenous sedation. This helps the patient to remain comfortable during the surgery and helps avoid the costs associated with general anesthesia. But the surgeon may employ monitored anesthesia care (MAC) if the surgery is performed along with another procedure. This will involve the charges of an anesthesiologist or a registered nurse anesthetist. If necessary, the surgeon will perform cheek augmentation with another facial surgery such as eyelift or facelift. This will increase the procedure’s total sticker price as well. At times, the surgeon may make use of FDA approved soft tissue fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm, or Radiesse along with cheek implant surgery for enhanced results. This will slightly increase the overall cost of cheek augmentation.

Surgeon’s Fee

A plastic surgeon who is highly qualified and experienced may charge a higher fee than a less experienced surgeon performing the plastic surgery under the guidance of a senior surgeon. A board certified plastic surgeon would not compromise on the quality of care to reduce costs. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), patients should work with the best surgeon for their requirements. Considerations such as the surgeon’s fees should only come second while making such decisions.

NeoGraft hair restoration before and after images is a pair or group of images of past patients who have received desirable outcomes with this procedure. These pictures include photos that are taken before as well as after the treatment at various stages of the NeoGraft procedure and highlight the final hair re-growth outcomes of the procedure.   The hair transplant provider will acquire these images with the patient’s consent and will display them to prospective patients discreetly and appropriately. The sole reason that the expert showcases these images is to show a new patient the potential effectiveness of NeoGraft. The amazing thing here is that many people can see these pictures without having to drive anywhere. But this is not the case here since there is not any NeoGraft pictures on the website. But this does not mean that the patient cannot see them during the consultation which is part of the process anyway.
