Academic Background

With almost 13 years of post-graduate training behind him, Dr. Seify has the cutting-edge expertise to provide advanced plastic surgery solutions to his patients. He was trained as a general and plastic surgeon abroad before he came to the US in 1998 to pursue his Doctor of Science degree at the Emory University. He trained with the eminent surgeon, late Dr. John Bostwick, as a part of his training in Endoscopic Plastic Surgery at the university.

Dr. Seify was involved with various basic science as well as clinical projects to apply the innovative techniques of Endoscopic Plastic Surgery. He shared his ideas and experiences at various seminars in the country as well as published them in a number of peer reviewed scientific journals. The research that he conducted during this time became the basis for his Ph.D. thesis, which he successfully defended in 2000.

With this academic accomplishment behind him, Dr. Seify went on to pursue training in general and plastic surgery at the Emory University. He served as the Administrative Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery at the university during this period. Dr. Seify’s academic accomplishments also include specialized training in Oculoplastic Surgery with Dr. Clinton McCord at Paces Plastic Surgery in Atlanta.

Career Achievements

Dr. Seify is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) as well as a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Surgeons. He constantly keeps himself updated with the latest innovations and developments in the arena of cosmetic surgery with an aim to deliver greater benefits to his patients in Newport Beach, Orange County, CA and nearby locations.

Together with Emory University, Dr. Seify’s practice has been inviting cosmetic surgeons from across the world for training as well as research since 2007. Dr. Seify gives lectures and presents scientific papers in the U.S. as well as in other countries. He has published several scientific articles and contributed key chapters to various medical books on the subject of plastic surgery. He is invited as a visiting professor to hospitals globally to perform surgeries on both civilians and veterans.

Honors and Awards

Apart from his private practice as a cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Seify also serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of California at Irvine (UCI medical Center). He received the eminent Sherrell J. Aston Award from the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in 2007.

He has also received various other awards, including the Patients’ Choice Award 2012, the Top Doctor USA award by Castle Connoly Medical Ltd, and the Orange County Physician of Excellence award by the Orange County Medical Association.
