Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally-occurring substance that works to add volume and hydration to the skin. HA fillers are a soft, gel-like substance that plump up weakened facial features and smooth lines from within with instantaneous results that last for 6 to 12 months before the body gradually absorbs the HA particles. Juvederm

This HA-based filler is ideal for filling moderate to severe wrinkles and facial creases, particularly around the nose and mouth. The consistency and smooth texture of Juvederm also make it exceptional for plumping up thin or aging lips and restoring volume to soft facial tissues. The results of Juvederm will last up to 12 months before a repeat treatment is needed.

Juvederm Voluma

Voluma is our longest-lasting HA-based filler that is designed to address age-related volume loss to sunken areas of the cheeks—sometimes referred to as the “midface descent.” Voluma will give gaunt or sunken facial contours a much-needed boost in fullness and a subtle lift for up to two years.

Restylane

Restylane is another HA-based filler we offer that can smooth and soften moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles by adding volume and fullness to the skin. Like Juvederm, it may also be used to enhance lip shape and fullness for patients. Restylane can last between 6 and 18 months depending on the rate in which your body metabolizes the filler.

Botox

Unlike HA injectables, Botox does not work by “filling in” lines and soft tissue. Botox is made with a purified protein known as botulinum toxin A —which works to relax facial muscles that contribute to dynamic wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles are wrinkles that are only visible when your face is in motion, such as when you are smiling, frowning or furrowing your brow. By rendering these muscles inactive, Botox can erase stubborn expression lines and prevent new ones from forming for 3 to 4 months before a repeat treatment is required.
