Dr. Hisham Seify has a total of nearly 13 years of post-graduate training behind him. He received training in general and plastic surgery abroad before coming to the United States in 1998 to complete his degree in Doctor of Science at Emory University. At this university, he received the opportunity to train in Endoscopic Plastic Surgery with the late Dr. John Bostwick, a renowned cosmetic surgeon.
Dr. Seify worked on several clinical and basic science projects involving latest techniques in the applications of Endoscopic Plastic Surgery. His findings were presented at national seminars and published in prestigious peer reviewed journals. This research became the foundation for his Ph.D. thesis in 2000. Following this, he pursued training in general surgery and plastic surgery at Emory University. During this period, he also served as the Administrative Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery. He took specialty training in Oculoplastic Surgery with Dr. Clinton McCord at Paces Plastic Surgery in Atlanta.
Dr. Seify is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). He employs his wide exposure and experience in new surgical techniques to provide highest quality cosmetic surgery procedure to his patients in Newport Beach, Orange County, CA, and other areas. His Orange County Practice in collaboration with Emory University has been inviting international guest plastic surgeons for both training and research since 2007.
Dr. Seify has published a number of scientific articles and has contributed chapters to medical textbooks related to the subjects of plastic surgery. He has delivered lectures and presented scientific papers both in the US and abroad. He receives invitations as a visiting professor to various hospitals internationally to perform surgeries on civilians as well as veterans.
Dr. Seify is currently the president of the worldwide American Cancer network designed to help children and adults with cancer. He is also a board member of several health care organizations, such as the United Doctors of California, and Future care. He continues to be involved with various community healthcare projects from time to time.
Dr. Seify is the 2007 recipient of the prestigious Sherrell J. Aston Award from the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. In addition to his practice as a cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Seify also currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of California at Irvine (UCI medical Center).
He is affiliated with leading hospitals in Orange County, which include Hoag, Saddleback, and Fountain Valley Hospitals. He is the recipient of several awards, including the Patients’ Choice Award 2012, the Top Doctor USA award by Castle Connoly Medical Ltd., and the Orange County Physician of Excellence award by the Orange County Medical Association.
